I agree, but I have to say that's the way I prefer superhero movies. I don't think there's been a hero or villain ever created in any superhero franchise that had a costume that I didn't consider absolutely daft, so it seems appropriate to me that the films be light-hearted and amusing.

I'm not really a fan of the style of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

Batman Returns certainly has its camp elements but it is also very dark in places. I possibly prefer it to the first, not sure.

Dark Knight is awesome. But Batman returns is really good, but Dark Knight it is.

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are awesome, but I'm going with the original.

    Loved Nicholson to bits.

    Prosperity? Or Posterity??

TDK. Awesome, Fabulous, and entirely justifying the hype despite the overrated Joker character.

Hard to split between Dark knight and the first movie but I will go with Dark knight.Begins and Batman Returns was also good but they could of been better. The others sucked balls.

I have a soft spot for Batman Begins. I saw it being oblivious to any hype or reading any reviews, don't think I even knew it was out before I had arrived at the cinema that day and was totally blown away by how good it was. I love a good origin story as well, so I voted for that. TDK is better though, it's just so fantastic on so many levels. Have watched it heaps of times already, never gets old. Batman and Batman Returns are both good but don't compare and Batman & Robin and Batman Forever are just rubbish. Was disgusted even as a kid watching them.

In other media, there is some fantastic Batman stuff. Miller's The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel is just exceptional and The Killing Joke and Year One are both just as good. Loved The Animated Series as well, very high quality for a cartoon.

Dark Knight was great but suffered from the hype. I went in with high expectations, and was slightly disappointed. Whereas with Batman Begins, there was no expectation, and I came out of the cinema impressed and highly entertained.

Batman and Batman Returns were good, but I prefer the modern day take on Batman rather than the cartoony one of the first two.

And as for the other two, I'd rather pretend that Batman Forever and Batman & Robin never really existed.

Those are the best, but can recommend some other great ones when you're finished with them if you want.

Wasn't as big a fan of Year One as the others. Like Arkham Asylum one

Batman Begins for me. Actually thought Cilian Murphy's Scarecrow was better than Ledger's joker.

Probably a stupid & lazy question, but how would I get hold of these graphic novels?
