Quick question for fans of British sitcoms

Out of these two Brian Wilde characters which do you prefer?

Foggy from last of the summer wine.

    Or

    Mr Bariclough from porridge.

Both great characters, Bariclough makes me laugh more but Foggy is just brilliant as a character.

Mr Bariclough and Porridge gave me the confidence to be a bit of a 'bad lad' (not that bad to be fair) in my younger days as prison seemed ok.

While US prison TV shows had guys getting probed by Bubba, Porridge seemed like the boy scouts.

I blame the British rise in anti-social behavour on Porridge taking the intimidation and fear factor out of incarceration.

Mr Barrowclough for me; Porridge infinitely funnier so it's a vote for the series as much as anything else.

"this was Argentinaís heaviest defeat in the group stage of a World Cup since losing 6-1 to Czechoslovakia in 1958. It is also the first time they have failed to win either of their opening two matches at a World Cup for 44 years. Sampaoliís players, in other words, were creating history here" - The Guardian's Stuart James on Croatia's 3-0 dicking of the South Americans

I think LOTSW is pretty good. Not as good as it used to be though. Foggy was one of my favourite characters in it for sure. I'm not a huge fan of Porridge to honest although I do love Ronnie.

TBH, anyone who thinks Last of the Summer Wine is funny might aswell book themselves a place at a Geneva clinic now.

Porridge is good fun, I get a bit concerned by LOTSW though, I could just imagine them all being raving paedos

I agree its not massively funny, but it is heart warming and good to watch, it doesnt try to be hillirious because it doesnt want to be hillirious, its just some light entertainment.
