Britains got talent.

Does anyone but me find this show extremely annoying? First you get a bunch of wannabes just trying to copy the people they look up to, no originality and flare in the performances more copying off whoever the big star is. Then you have either the typical talent agents Simon Cowell or Peirs Morgan flaunting their vanity. Then someone says a cringeworthy speech on how Britain has talent, well no doubt there are people in this country who are talented but that doesnt mean the country itself has talent. For instance, Australia no doubt has a better cricket team than lets say, Bolivia, but that doesnt mean that if I pick a random Australian and a random Bolivian that the Australian will be the better cricketer just because he's Australian, its almost nationalist.

The auditions are extremely amusing. After that I just ignore it.

Dont mind the contestants, most are there to have a laugh and show off their skills, the people arnt as annoying as stuff like X factor (ooh lets pin all our hopes on a reality TV singing career!). The cocktail jugglers from series one were exceptional. Does annoy the crap outta me when they stick some whiney 6 year on to sing, clearly playing on age.

Piers Morgan can just **** off this planet IMO. Just flushed more talent down the bog 5 min ago (i'd leave it another 10 before you go in there......)

Can't stand anything vaguely reality like in TV shows. I'll only watch TV nowadays if it is something like Futurama/Simpsons or a really good drama like Prison Break.

Piers really is a terrible human being.

Before he started going on Britians got talent I gave him the benefit of the doubt after the whole Mirror fiasco but since his TV career has started he has gone from bad to worse. He has that terrible chat show and made some God awful programe about how wonderfull Dubai and Hollywood were, interviewing minor celbraties in the process. Jeremy Clarkson hit him in the face, which is probably the best thing he has ever done, almost makes me like him.

I do the same with Australian Idol...the idea that any of them have the smallest amount of talent is laughable. If they were talented they wouldn't have to go on the show. And hearing the judges say "You made that song your own", when they've just sung it note for note almost makes me gag. It's a glorified karaoke contest where the only real objective is to fill the judges pockets with cash as they promote whoever wins for a year and then everyone forgets about them.

In Australia Mark Holden performed the Simon Cowell role for a number of years and wrote the 'hit' song for the winner. Someone remind me...who the **** was Mark Holden again?

I enjoyed Ben Elton's novel that took on the above concept actually.

Don't watch reality TV, certainly not the music shows. But, just occasionally, they throw up something like this;

YouTube - Susan Boyle - Singer - Britains Got Talent 2009

Geez.

47 years old, total newbie to the whole thing (had to laugh when she went to walk off) and she rips that out like a pro. The build-up to the 'turns your dreams to shame' line....... in a word, wow.

LOL, that was awesome. Watch the eyebrows of the judges as soon as she starts.

Simply incredible, hope she wins the thing and gets picked up for a show somewhere.
