Yet no-one cares about the poor train driver, the only one who wasnt ignoring a blatent crash waiting to happen by either
A) driving into it (well, technically he did, but he couldnt exactly stop)
B) Standing right next to a railway line with an oncoming train and a truck appearing out of the corner of his eye.

No way the guy that got hit would have seen the train coming. Have no idea what the truck driver was thinking though.

He was staring down a straight track untill the truck blocked his view, would've seen the train about 5 minutes before.

Unless of course he was facing the other way. Then he'd be a bit silly for standing next to a train line and turning his back on oncoming trains.

Infact, looking at the clip on 35 seconds, he was bloody standing on the track himself. Numpty

It's an expression, it doesn't necessarily imply belief.
