Is this basically an Australian version of Superstars?
Backing the ironman guy to win at first glance anyway.
Andrew Symonds: you know, obv.
Brett Deledio: AFL player for the Richmond Tigers. Top quality midfielder/half-forward.
Steve Hooker: Current Olympic Pole Vault Gold Medallist
Ky Hurst: One of Australia's greatest ever Ironmen.
Billy Slater: Currently rated as the best Rugby League player in the world. At the least, he's the best League fullback going around. Plays for the Melbourne Storm and QLD.
Joel Griffiths: Former striker for the Newcastle Jets. Now plays for some Korean or Chinese club.
Lote Tiquiri: Rugby player, plays for the Waratahs and the Wallabies. Used to play Rugby League for Brisbane.
Jamie Whincup: Current Australian V8 Supercar Champion.

Yeah, seen a couple of episodes. Pretty interesting actually. Hooker the surprise packet.
Was an interesting article re Hooker's claim to be the greatest ever pole vaulter on Friday, comparing him to Sergey Bubka. He's pretty gun, especially for a ranga.

Slater owning Taqiri in the rugby challenge was funny. As you the soccer bloke going to tackle Lote and thinking better of it.
Not very well. He looks pretty fit by normal standards, but seems out of his depth here. But then Hooker probably can't drive a manual...
Just looked, he's 6th (y)

Just looking at the sports I would have made him favourite. I think there is a fair amount of evidence that puts pole vaulters as the best allround athletes.
Combination of speed, strength, agility and coords. Still a silly event though.
EDIT- This looks pretty good. This is my Sat afternoon sorted.

Just finished the online stuff. Really enjoyed it.
Billy Slater sounds like a good bloke. Has a twinkle in his eye. Though there is no way he is 189 cm tall as his bio on the website says.
- As featured in The Independent.
"This is not the time for namby-pamby promising youngsters who might just do something; not the time for building for the future. Pragmatism rules and they don't come more pragmatic than Rogers."
- Victor Marks makes the case for stiff-legged and stiff-armed 35 year old left-handers in Ashes squads
Just noticed that three different blokes have the same height/weight/age as Hooker, I believe 189cm/87kg/21 years old belongs to him. Also, Tuqiri has Symonds' stats.
Actually, Deledio has exactly the same measurements too, reckon it might be him
