Have you/ will you immigrate?

I am from Britain, and I am having serious thoughts on whether to immagrate to Europe when I am older.

Have you immigrated, had thought on immigrating or you don't want to?

Not really emigrated as my parents moved to SA when I was young, but when they returned to the UK I had no intentions of following them back there. Went back after I matriculated but never for more than a few months at a time.. Have no intentions of leaving here as long as I can support myself..

I love how most Brits whinge constantly about the state of the place and how they want to emigrate, but get them in another country and they basically lead the same existance as they would back home, down the local pub with all the other expats. I think the last British person I spoke to was my dad three months ago.

Been there done that and got the t-shirt. Have thought about moving overseas again, would love to live in either Italy or Spain, and there are some parts of France I would like to live.

Have never and would never.

pasag 20-02-2009 02:09 AM

Nah, like it here too much.

Johnners 20-02-2009 02:14 AM

AWTA, there's no place like home.

Steulen 20-02-2009 02:29 AM

Actually in the process of moving to the UK as we speak. Not a completely done deal, as the job for my wife has not materialised yet, but the chances are good.

Precambrian 20-02-2009 03:19 AM

Might. At the moment no.

Burgey 20-02-2009 03:48 AM

Yes, if Peter Costello ever becomes Prime Minister.

Never ever ....

_Ed_ 20-02-2009 04:07 AM

Nah. NZ is perfect for me, really. I'd consider an OE, but I don't think I could ever handle more than 6 months away from this place.

Awta

Matt79 20-02-2009 04:20 AM

Nah, already live in the best place on Earth.

Although if this drought continues for another 5-10 years, might be forced to think about moving somewhere where it still friggin rains occasionally.

pinchy81 20-02-2009 04:38 AM

Plan on moving to England once I can get some money together
