Pubs or Clubs?

Yeah, where does everyone prefer to get drunk, in a pub or in a club?

I have to defy my age by saying pubs are far, far better places to drink in.

Go to a pub to get drunk.

Go to a club to dance with slutty girls.

Clearly.

Yeah, I'm a pub man. Love a joint with an upstairs area that acts as a bit of a mini nightclub though. Having to not change venues to make that progression through the night really appeals to a lazy man like myself.

Yeah, love those places too. Or clubs with a big, quality beer garden on the roof or outside so you can rotate between clubbing and pubbing as you like.

Used to be clubbing during the late high school and early Uni days but I've since graduated to the bar scene.

A chilled environment with good conversation > nasty grinding with randoms you can barely see.

Pubs Hands down. Really hate the music at clubs anyway. The music might not be that much better at pubs, but generally there is some kind of sport to watch which kind of makes up for it.

Yeah, the bar scene in Melbourne is pretty darn handy.

What are the best ones? I usually just head down to the few near my office.

Both really.

Pubs to get drunk and talk to mates.
Clubs to get drunk and dance with (read "pick up") chicks.

Being in a long-term relationship may be another source of my dislike of clubs.

Pubs, easily. Won't go clubbing anymore, but then, I'm old and married now.

Find it easier to "pick up" in bars. Getting a random party pash is easier in a club though.

St Jeromes, behind the Maccas on Lonsdale.
Katuk on Chapel St.
Workshop on A'Beckett.

Struggling now to remember a lot of them. Heaps I've been inside of without even knowing their name.

PS. Let me know when you plan on meeting Jono and Dasa for a hit.
