Buying a new desktop computer (Melbourne)

Need a new one tomorrow, any Melburnians have an idea where to get one from?

Thinking Dick Smiths.

Could try and get a computer store to build you one instead of going for a "main brand"

Needs to be up and running tomorrow though. 1500 max, probably and including a screen.

What do you reckon?

If you are not averse to assemblig it yourself, I could throw together a very nice system for $1500 - probably much better in quality and performance than a similarly priced system you could get from a store.

If you can be bothered building it yourself (which shouldn't really take long), you can't beat MSY.

Pasag, I can get you one at a massive discount (cost price) from Harvey Norman.

Let me know.

EDIT: Just read that you need it by tomorrow. May be a bit tight, why the strict deadline?

In the same boat as Jono here. Could get you cost price employee discount for any IBM product but it generally takes a couple of weeks to get it all done.

Seconded. Can build a world class computer for less than 1000 dollars (minus cheap peripherals and operating system). And where talking the best Core 2 Duo and GTX260.
