Agree to an extent, but it seems to mainly be the female of the species who're swayed by a bit of a swagger. For me (and don't consider myself desperately shallow) a girl can have as much self-respect as is humanly possible, but if she looks like Jo Brand it ain't happening still.

Well, it does have it's limits of course but then, it does depend on your personal psychology. I bet there are blokes out there who want to shag her rotten.

I dunno the reason (don't think anyone does) but I don't know if it's all about looks (still a big factor though, sure). Evolutionary biologists will tell you it's related to fertility. i.e. an 85 year-old man can still father a child with a 24 year-old female but the opposite can't happen.

and women will most of the time get babies which they think are the best 'father' material, so not for the hottest guy but a lot of the time a 'safe' guy.
as face it hot guys are never to be trusted.

Looks differ to everyone, some people are attracted to skinny/anorexic girls some to really fat.

personally I like a bit of meat around the bones, something to hold and not be scared you break it (or can't hold her at all because she's to fat )

in the end you try to go for the ideal combination in your own taste of personality and looks.

Well, that's it really. The latest work in the area (and yes, there's lots of work done in the area of attraction) basically says it's all about how similar the other person is to us in terms of values, wants, needs and looks. If someone is lacking in one, they have to make up for it in another if the same person is to be attracted to them (e.g. ugly guys who get hot chicks, the compensating factor could be money which = security, etc. or intelligence). Treatment of women

Not sure how many have read this story but it ****ing makes my blood boil. Its 'forbidden' for the girl to walk down the street with her father-in-law but alright for two men to hold her down while a third man beats her as dozens more watch her humiliation? Every one of those men deserves the worst punishment imaginable. I don't know what pisses me off more, the fact that this is happening in my country or that the Pakistani government has no control over these people. Disgusting to say the least.
