Do you know my fellow Britishers, it really is not obligatory, or incidentally remotely funny, to say in this country after a couple of good days weather-wise:

"Oh that's our Summer over then".

This is not even funnier, though you clearly seem to think it is, when you say it in March. Could you very kindly desist from this humourous trope.

Or in other words, shut the **** up you braindead morons.

Social media "analysis" on TV masquerading as news.

Just **** off with it. Please. Cannot think of anything more lightweight than some bloke spending ten minutes reading out trending hashtags and putting up some halfwit Youtube video on TV.

Yeah spot on. A good friend of mine, she started seeing a guy who did this. My mate and I advised her that the guy was bound to be a knob. Proven correct ofcourse

Well, I've lived in a few countries and visited many, but there's always been one person in every country who's asked me; How can you live in Australia, they're so racist or Aren't all Aussies racist

Seriously **** off. Every single country.

This would actually be interesting if done properly though. Social media real-time analytics can show some very interesting things. It's just that whenever you get it on TV it's a very watered/dumbed-down version, the findings of which are interesting to nobody with a brain.

Though when done poorly you get media outlets quoting GIMH....

Langeveldt: I of course blame their parents.. and unchecked immigration!
GingerFurball: He's Austrian, they tend to produce the odd ****ed up individual

Uppercut: Maybe I just need better strippers

Pretty sure somewhere pulled posts from one of our Ashes threads once, and GIMH's was one of them, I'm sure he'll remember the full story

Yeah 06-07. Aussie paper running a story on the Warne/McGrath retirements described me as 'Devoted pom GeraintIsMyHero' and quoted me

Brumby and wpd made the independent in 2008 too. Pretty sure BB has the link in his sig.

Brumby got quoted under two different usernames from two different sites in an article I think. That was classic.

Gonna post this over from CS.

I was shooting the **** with a coworker that I didn't see for a while outside of work. We got to talking about personal stuff and I told him about my mother's passing 2 months ago. In turn he told me about his father who passed away earlier in the year. Here's the story of how it happened.

He apparently had a severe allergic reaction to something environmental where his throat closed up. The doctor tells him that he's lucky to have survived and he needed to carry an epi pen with him at all times. He gets a prescription from the doctor and never gets the epi pen because apparently "he doesn't believe in medicines" whatever that means. The very next week he had the same episode but didn't get to the hospital in time and died. The guy was very healthy aside from these allergies.

By the end of that story I was visibly angry but did my best not to show it. **** you. **** you for throwing away years, possibly decades of your life. I would have done anything and everything to get even one of those years for my mom. She would have done anything to be able to spend some time with my son. But she had the choice to accept death or opt for a painful treatment to buy her 2 months. All you had to do was carry a ****ing epi pen. Dip****.
