Meh, it's still a horrible thing to do. And to be honest, if the pregnancy is planned, the fact that you're a smoker should be taken into account when planning the time of your pregnancy.

Well I don't have a study for this but I would hazard a guess that a very large amount of pregnancies are unplanned

I guess it's to do with women having the responsibility to ensure that their baby is delivered in the healthiest possible way, which obviously they can't do if they've smoked/drunk or whatever.

And the baby also won't be as healthy as possible if the woman spends the whole pregnancy on edge and stressed to ****, true story

Like I've said several times before, we can't speculate on whether it's best to totally quit until there has been some sort of research been undertaken on it.
