The Beatles - I'm a Loser
Howlin' For You by Black Keys and When They Fight They Fight by Generationals. Do listen.
If you were that old, and that kind, and the very last of your kind, you couldn't just stand back and watch children cry.
Radio - The Avalanches
Since I Left You one of the best 20 albums of the previous decade, IMHO. 'Bout time they got their act together and released a follow up, tbh.
Cricket Web's 2013/14 Premier League Tipping Champion
- As featured in The Independent.
"I don't believe a word of Pietersen's book, but then I don't believe a word anyone else has said either."
- Simon Barnes renders further comment on KP's autobiography superfluous in a sentence
Beatles (in the mode, innit) - She Said She Said
Best ****ing album ever
Oasis - I'm Outta Time
Underrated, this ****er
Witchita Lineman - Glen Campbell
I need you more than want you
& I want you for all time
& the Witchita lineman is still on the line
Doesn't really get any better than this. Just achingly gorgeous. Up there with Good Vibrations for the best pure pop song with a weird arse arrangement.
Right-wing wife-beater he may be, but **** he could sing. & Jimmy Webb's genius as a songwriter can't be overstated either. He was like 12 when he wrote this, talented ****.
Pink Floyd - Time
ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
The Dear Hunter - Never Forgive Never Forget
Only discovered this gem of a band recently. One of their weird projects includes The Color Spectrum (yes, American), which includes an EP conceptually based on each of the named colours of the spectrum or something, which sounds stupid but makes for great music.
Macklemore and Ryan Lewis - Same Love
Honestly brings me close to tears, so beautifully done.
Exit pursuing a beer
Yeah - not usually my thing, but have to say that is a really good song.
Junica - The Wrong House
Beady Eye - Flick of the Finger
It's ****ing immense
Took a break from the above, temporarily mind
The Streets - Too Much Brandy
Arctic Monkeys - You Know I'm No Good
Probably posted it before but it really is a cracking cover
