Radiohead - Exit Music (for a film)
wonder if anyone's made a mash-up of this and Hotel California.

That's probably my fav of the album. Whole thing is great though, and gets better the more you listen to it. Reckon Tame Impala are heading for mega-stardom, especially seeing as though Kevin Parker has stated he wants to continue with more 'pop' oriented sounds. Think the newest single Tame Impala - Feels Like We Only Go Backwards - YouTube will become huge too, for that reason.

Fiordmoss ~ Symmetric Sea
I think the EP has some nice things going on, and I don't mind the concept but even for me this is pushing the boundary of "not actually music".

Cruel Guards - The Panics
I picked up the album of the same name the other day for a couple of quid on the off chance as I vaguely recalled Morrissey championing them a while back. ****ing top stuff, actually. Definite hints of their fellow Western Australian forebears The Triffids with suggestions of Doves in the epic/restrained thangs they have going on to my ears. Haven't been this impressed by a new artist (to me, I mean) since Richard Hawley.

Yeah, ripping album. The rest of their stuff has some good tracks, but not as consistent as that record.
EDIT: also do a decent cover of Wide Open Road. Last edited by vic_orthdox; 29-10-2012 at 08:52 PM. |

I've only just learnt that this guy passed away last month. Not the happiest reason to be playing it, but well worth a listen.
