    ELO - Mr Blue Sky

One thing the closing ceremony did was refresh my memory about a few songs I hadn't listened to for a while. I do love this one.

Make My Mind - Screaming Trees

Lanegan really does have one of the rock voices.
Cricket Web's 2013/14 Premier League Tipping Champion

    - As featured in The Independent.

"as much a news event as an actual footballer, a worthy stop-start centre forward, but an all-time hyper-galactico when it comes to doing funny things with cars and hats, a player whose signing proves once again that the Premier League is still undoubtedly the best in the world when it comes to doing things with cars and hats."
    - Barney Ronay on Mario Balotelli

Going to see the Wirral Riddler tomorrow can't wait, this song one of my favourites from him, helped along by music's best backing vocalist in the verses

Yeah, the harmonies and the bluesy guitars give that kinda vibe. I think it's partly because they were so hard to categorise that yer Trees weren't bigger than they were. Too heavy to be indie rock and too melodic to be properly metal.

    Meanwhile:

We Have All The Time in the World - Fun Lovin' Criminals

A surprisingly straight and affectionate cover of the Louis Armstrong/OHMSS standard.
