    Sauget Wind - Uncle Tupelo

Epic and restrained rockish effort from alt-country pioneers.
Cricket Web's 2013/14 Premier League Tipping Champion

    - As featured in The Independent.

"as much a news event as an actual footballer, a worthy stop-start centre forward, but an all-time hyper-galactico when it comes to doing funny things with cars and hats, a player whose signing proves once again that the Premier League is still undoubtedly the best in the world when it comes to doing things with cars and hats."
    - Barney Ronay on Mario Balotelli

And The Mountain Goats - Going to Georgia - YouTube is the best Mountain Goats song. just ftr.

    Arctic Monkeys - Cornerstone

Beautiful song and entertaining little story being told in it. Turner a class above his generation as a lyricist IMHO.

    ^^^

Massively underrated band, Turin Brakes. The Optimist LP was a great opening shot, even if they never quite matched it again.

    Anyway:

End of the World - Monaco

Peter Hook's other other band. Sounds like New Order in all honesty, especially as David Potts has a pretty much identical larynx to Barney Sumner.

Is there anyone Hooky hasn't fallen out with, btw? Seems to have ****ed off more or less everyone he's ever worked with.

    Aphex Twin ~ Lichen

SAW2 is still one of the most pure albums I've ever heard, and still such a richly rewarding experience... if you can be bothered with the two and a half hours it takes to play the whole album.
