21st Century Schzoid Man - King Crimson
Just heard it used as a sample in a song used in an ad for some XBox game (which Google informs me is Power by Kanye West), so have dug out the original.
Love the opening but, as in prog's wont, loses its way in the widdly wanky bits in the middle.

Powderfinger - Cowboy Junkies
Achingly wonderful cover of Neil Young's Rust Never Sleeps classic.
Adele - One and Only.
Bit of a soppy Friday arvo love ditty.
Milk Train - Downtown
Quality Hamiltron group, these guys.
Kennedy - The Wedding Present
Tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1989. Perennial Peel favourites who never quite get the props they deserve. A lot of the noughties garage rock thang owed them a debt, but they never got a second wind of interest out of it. Imagine The Strokes fronted by Bumble and you're somewhere near.
Roy Walker - Belle & Sebastian
I think I prefer their earlier, more understated folky stuff. The big, baroque production is all well and good, but gets in the way of the song a bit. Makes them sound too keen to be liked.
Muse - Shrinking Universe
Bursting with emotion. The scream late in the song is jaw-dropping.
