Three shark attacks, two by great white sharks, off the east coast of Australia in the last two days. One of the white pointers was 5.5 metres long and following its victim all the way back into the beach as she was being rescued.

That's definitely in the **** that for a joke category. Check out the hole it put in the girl's surfboard.

I'm not one of those people who think we should go after the sharks for doing what they do - it's their ocean more than it is ours and I think they're fantastic animals - generally when they attack humans it an 'honest' mistake on their part. That said, I'm going to respect their authority and stay the **** away from them!

I'm ****ing shocked that a shark got al the way up to near the bridge. The lake barely ever has any water in it up there. It's a massive sediment trap as well (as are all estuaries tbf) so it's also ridiculously shallow.

To be honest I've never thought it was safe, and I'm always wary when I go out in the water.. I wouldn't be totally against a cull, after all, we kill just about everything else if it suits us.. Obviously I'm going to come under a world of hate for those comments, but I wouldn't shed a tear over it..
