Awful.
Everyone wants to change the world, noone wants to change himself.

The management of the organisation and ground operations in Iraq has been terrible.
The Washington Neo-Cons thought they had it all planned out. Sharp suits and ideology would prevail (despite a lot of money being made dont ever doubt that a lot of high up people thought they were doing the right thing the right way. Profit and ideology are not mutually exclusive).
They didnt trust or respect the military and despite no experience in nation building they went about it their own way.
One of the consequences of not trusting or respecting military experts was that they used outside contactors for everything and military experts were ignored and military personnel reduced to errand boys and guards.
The irony being that this led to a massive increase in costs and it was the neo-cons that were incompetant and the military would have done a far better job at a fraction of the cost.
TBH, the US taxpayer should be pissed off about this. Im not sure why it would really interest others though.

The Chaldean Christians, however, are taking it in their stride.
I'm just trying to picture a listing for Iraq on a real estate web site.
"Sizeable country with motivated seller. Prospects will be apparent to the discerning buyer - this estate offers sought after access to oil and is serviced by two magnificent rivers. Located within a day's tank drive of the Persian Gulf (subject to UNSC planning approval). A renovator's delight, a discerning buyer can either restore, or else subdivide."
