Indian Politics Thread

Hopefully this is not a duplicate. We can discuss prolly everything related to the murky world of Indian politics, as well as suggestions to improve the political landscape, your fav politician, political party etc.

Results of 5 states assembly polls announced today

BJP set to retain MP and Chattisgarh, while Congress gains big time in Rajasthan. Delhi saw a see-saw till Cong got a tiny majority. Mizoram as usual to the Congress.

The interesting trend is that all the battles have been more or less BJP Vs Congress. No party spoilers and opportunistic small parties have got considerable mileage. A good trend imho.

India needs to be secular and tolerant, hence Congress is the only party I would support if I were in India or if I were an Indian Citizen. I have no respect for BJP's fundamentalism and the way that they govern.
