Yo bois. I want to blow up a couple of my photos, or transfer them to canvas.

I want them to be blown up to about a metre long and I will frame them, or alternatively I could just put the, on canvas.

Anyway, any of you clowns done this? How much does it cost for both options and where did you go to get it done?

For the love of doritos don't put it on canvas, completely defeats the purpose of focus and sharpness. Get it on a flat surface i.e. board/block. It has all the same properties of canvas in terms of physicality for hanging and the like but looks waaaaaaaay better.

How about some pics of Iceland etc too? We need some more photos in here!
Ask and ye shall receive. Here's a few, unfortunately none of my Northern Lights photos really came out - it was just too windy, and they were too faint to start with anyway. Had to go all the way up to ISO 3200 and a 30 second exposure, and the camera was wobbling all over the place on the tripod.

You could try aluminium, might look better than canvas. There have been a few specials on Spreets/Cudo/Groupon etc. Even as a special it costs about $160 on aluminium. If you really want canvas then they have specials on the same sites all the time. Can get the size you're talking about for around $70.

NZT has been very kind in making the assumption the photos are sharp to begin with in my opinion.

Very nice mate, have been to all of those spots but didn't see the northern lights unfortunately. Would like to get back there someday.

The picture looks pretty good to me mate. Nice spot isn't it? Surprised you took your eyes off the local ladies to take a photo of a few buildings though. They're pretty special up that way.

That looks really good and inspires me to do that with some of my pictures. Where did you get it done out of interest and do you mind sharing how much it cost?

I was in Antarctica late last year.

and stopped off in NZ, and went to Kapiti Island, and saw lots of great NZ birds.

Frame was $30 from a random store and the picture cost $50 to get printed from Joyce Mayne. I was suspect but the print came out perfectly.

Hmmm, itchy clicking fingers finally got the better of me and I parted with some cash to get this:

Given I've been lax on the photo-taking front recently it might be a bit rash...but I'll have to make a concerted effort with this in my hands. Just need to get past the 5 assignments in 5 weeks from the beginning of May.

It arrived yesterday. I may have to invest in some more underpants, I'll be going through them at a rapid rate with this in my hands. It's awesome.
