Some real crackers on the last two pages SJS. Particularly liked the bird from underneath and the two of the lions in the golden light. Very nice. Are they with the 100-400mm?

So regarding cameras, me and my fiance are in search of a proper decent camera as our current camera broke on the weekend. Is there a good camera floating around for say under $1000 which you can't go wrong with? |

Would hurt that bloke kneeling downs to find a toilet.
Impressive pressure though. @N00fers, look back at the replies to my post a page back.

In a similar boat at the moment, am going to Iceland for a few days in February and want to get some good shots of the Northern Lights etc, which my cheap point and shoot won't be able to handle. Am debating whether to splash out on a good camera or just see if I can borrow one from someone.
I presume something like a Nikon D3100 would be up to it? Can get it for £280 here, which includes lens, tripod, SD card etc. Seems a good bargain to me and the camera is well reviewed, but I don't really know jack about lenses. |
