Internet usage charges of yours

Hi, I am interested in knowing what are the internet access charges (Broadband, Dialup, Mobile) in your place.

Mine in India - Broadband - Rs.250 ($5) per month, upto 1 GB free. Re 0.9/MB upwards from 1 GB.

I'm looking at the TPG ADSL2, 50GB for $50 a month. Anyone else have this?

Yes. Goes fine but TPG are an absolute ****fight to deal with if it goes haywire, massive call-centre's with people you can barely understand talking 600kph.

Yeah agree.

Go with aaNet imo - comparable to TPG price/data-wise and much better support (although it's only 9-5 as far as I know). Plus it's available uncontracted, so you can switch to TPG or anyone else at any time after the first month.

That's what I have. As the others have said, TPG support is crap. Their support is out-sourced to Malaysia, so you're not even speaking to people in Australia.

Just looking at the site and it does look much better and to be able to cancel anytime is awesome, but I just put my number in and it says only ADSL1 in my area which is weird, will call them tomorrow.

I'm tempted to move to Japan just for that.

UK.

Theoretical 8 meg download speed, but my landline can only cope with 5.5.

Unlimited (with "fair usage" proviso, but have never had any comeback)

£14 per month.

Internode the provider, ADSL2+ 2400kb (equates to around 320Kb/s), 20Gb/month, ~$60 per month. Internode's support is awesome (especially if you let on you're a *.nix user) and although a bit more pricey, service is generally pretty good.

Upto last month, 600 kbps, night unlimited, 5 gb day limit/month, 999 Rs or ~ 20 US$/month. Needed the connection for downloading a motherload of material.

Currently, 256 kbps, completely unlimited, 899 Rs or 18 US$/month.

I am planning to switch to UnLtd usage on my 320 kpbs BB. Would triple existing $5 to $15. Still worth it.

Heh, 20 meg download speed, my line usually makes out at around about 15-18. (which, when downloading, comes to about 2000kb/s, usually get a bit higher than that actually....)

Unlimited, Virgins fair usuage is if i hammer it too much between 4pm and midnight they cut it down to a 5mb line (oh noes!), think thats about 5gb downloaded in that time. They carry there own newsgroup service for free aswell, which any person who likes totally legal films will tell you, is always good.

Managed to get it for about £20 a month i think, might have gone up a bit now i've got the TV off them though, should be £37 a month
