Sounds really weird because all the others had normal names easy to understand like Die another day and Casino Royal but it sounds like an alright movie. I might see it.

The important question is: What did you think of the new Star Trek trailer that was shown before the movie??

Can't wait, so excited about that.

they didn't show that at the cinema i went to...did you like the movie? it was a departure from the usual bond movies, even more so than casino royale, thought they could have incorporated the usual first scene of the villainous eye following bond and him turning and shooting, also the typical background music...they did it at the very end but i missed it during the movie itself...doesn't have the feel of a proper bond movie without those...

Can't wait, really enjoyed the last one, especially after how poor it was getting towards the end of the Brosnan era.

Too much departure from the usual Bond formula for me. I am the average moviegoer who expects a few things beforehand and though Casino Royale too was "different" from the usual bond, this is taking matters to a different level. Sanitisation of Bond. Give me Bourne anyday.

Depends on what you call different really. These few are pretty similar to the two Dalton ones and by all accounts are as close to the Fleming novels as we've ever seen. The last few Brosnan films were absolute rubbish, not just the worst Bond films I'd seen but some of the worst films ever. The new direction is finally giving some substance to the series which is needed as it tends to become a parody of itself from time to time (see the end of the Moore era).

Going to see it on Friday at this stage. I never saw Casino Royale. Should I watch it before to get this movie or does it not matter?

From what I heard it is a sequel to Casino Royale, but doesn't incorporate that film into it so much.

...it is worth going to see(and i admit to the fact i go to watch mainly because i rather like mr craig and the very nice aston martin he drives...).....it isnt as good as casino royale, not as much depth to the plot, and it is quite slick, and moves very fast....it does follow on from casino royale,so i would watch that first,if i hadnt already....

Sounds an awful lot like the Lord of the Rings
