Stoke (upon Trent), shocking it hasn't been mentioned yet.

Fairly sure every town in England has been named now, can we move on?

Southport and York are very nice. They may be the only 2 not included so far.

I think it's a bit harsh to nominate suburbs.. All (well most) cities have their good and bad areas, and most of us haven't heard of some of the districts within them..

Nominate

Sheffield - Thousands of poxy houses crammed onto a hillside surrounded by motorways and disused steelworks.. A bit like Rio de Janeiro without the swanky hotels, the sun and the beach.. Worst place to drive in the UK as well.. The cold just eats into every part of your body.. It's a horrible, claustrophobic city and in my experience the people are more hostile than most in that area when you aren't local.

Bridgwater - A stinking mess of factories and light industry in some of the most pristine countryside imaginable.

Hull - Only one step away from Hell

Camborne/Redruth - What the tourists don't see when they go to Cornwall

Stoke on Trent - Horrible place, Recently visited the university there.. Which is such a godawful place I didn't actually know I was in the University.. Thought I was still on the way in driving through an Industrial complex..

Swindon - Used to be a fairly productive railway center in the heart of England.. And then the 60's came.. The original town is now surrounded by roundabouts, interchanges, industrial estates and crumbling leisure centers. There is no focal point to the mess, no particularly interesting or noteworthy spots in a place of over 100,000 people. The football team are rubbish, which is a shame, as there is nothing else to do there.. It's also the furthest major settlement in England from a beach

Honourable mentions -
King's Lynn
Burton upon Trent
Yeovil
Bristol
Portsmouth
Saltash
Chard

Nominate Milton Keynes, yeah...I know it's not that bad, but I can't think of anything about it that is remotely good.

I nominate Huyton, it's full of people who think they're bigger than the likes of Al Capone, Frank Lucas, Lucky Luciano etc... It makes you wonder what is the young working class of Britain coming to?
