Often are yeah, the walk to Craven Cottage is lovely though. The modern grounds outside of town are obviously worse.

Brentford is obviously tremendous.

Right, suggest some in/out swapsies from that original 32, or we'll kick off tomorrow.

Luton the worst.

Man City @ Maine Road was something else mind you.

My experiences are completely to the contrary actually. Apart from Millmoor, which has a particularly unpleasant surround, known as Rotherham.

I have to question how many football grounds you have actually visited.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say many were in particularly pleasant areas, but I can't think of many I've been to that struck me as being in overtly unpleasant locales. Even those I've been to that have been in dodgy areas, tend to be less unpleasant than the area a little further afield. Upton Park, for example, not exactly a nice place, but it's only a short distance up the road from Canning Town, which is unspeakably awful.

In fact, can we add Canning Town to this battle btw? I'd like to nominate it.

Never been to Canning Town other than to change trains, looks horrific when you go through it on the DLR though

Went to a couple, and am of the same opinion as Neil; they seem to be located in the worst part of the place.

Didn't go to Rochdale's ground, but if where it is located is anything worse than the town centre, then may God have mercy on it's soul.

It's an awful, awful place. I had to walk through some of the nicer parts of it around 4.30am to catch the first tube of the day once. Never been so scared in my life.

I got lost there about 20 years ago, looking for Ilford, itself a pretty grim place, but I was very relieved to get there nonetheless

I don't imagine it's improved a great deal from what it was 20 years ago to be honest. That said, there is an excellent Eastern European food shop there, which sells some truly excellent meat, and other foodstuffs. Not too far from the tube station either, so you can visit without feeling too unsafe.

Having just said all that, I lived in Elephant and Castle all last year, which probably has a similar reputation to Canning Town, if not worse. I was probably fortunate to live in one of the nicer parts.

Elephant and Castle has the benefit of the IWM close by though. It's a pretty fair attraction to have in the area.

And it's a fantastic name.
