    Death Cab For Cutie

Any other fans? Saw them for the third time last night, and they were ****ing excellent.

never have I encounted a band that can pick such good setlists.

The set and encore ended with an epic ten minute version of Transatlanitcism.

    Prefer The Postal Service.
Sreesanth said, "Next ball he was beaten and I said, 'is this the King Charles Lara? Who is this impostor, moving around nervously? I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

    I do as well.

But Gibbard only tours with Death cab so there isn't much of an alternative.

Prefer plans tbh, though I actually get confused between the two. Quite enjoy the odd bit of DCFC, some excellently written songs, but prefer to listen in small doses, get a bit irritating after a while.

DCFC > The Postal Service, IMHO.

Waiting to see Michell's opinions on this.
Beware the lollipop of mediocrity. Lick once and you suck forever...

Death Cab were pretty average whole album wise then pulled Transatlanticism and Plans out the bag, both are easily their best. Title & Registration is just about -the- best 'sigh, wish we were still going out' song there is.

Prefer Postal Service a fair amount of the time, District Sleeps Alone Tonight, Such Great Heights, Sleeping in, Nothing Better, We Were Silhouettes are all top class songs.

Sorry, wasn't meaning to be harsh - got plenty of respect for the band. But I probably overlistened to them at first so really find them hard to listen to now. A lot of their songs have started to sound a bit samey. Their cover of 'Against All Odds' for example - the first bit of the song is terrific, but I can never seem to make it to the end before changing to another song.

I find Gibbard's voice hard to listen to for a whole album.
