Just had to share this. I bought Lonerism by TL off Amazon a few weeks back & one of the bands Amazon just recommended to me on their "people who bought this also liked" dealy was The Colourphonics!

Have ordered the eponymous LP from these up and coming Aussie thrusters.

Not sure what to think of this she was my top ****-fantasy back then, at an age where there was exhaustive arm action, and her albums was one of the first I bought. Now she looks a bit frumpy, but she's having a laugh.

Haven't bought an awful lot of music this year, or new music anyway, so thinking of the songs of the year has been tricky. The following three have been the bet I can think of and worthy additions to my playlists, each racking up plays quickly:

    1. Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine
    2. Miles Kane - First Of My Kind
    3. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - Shoot a Hole Into The Sun

First two were Record Store Day specials, it's fast becoming one of my favourite events in the musical calendar
    I'm just saying
RIP Craigos. A true CW legend. You will be missed.

Speaking of music which is huge (HUGE) in our parents' homes everywhere, we just finished our second album.

Anyone want a sneaky listen? Unmastered at the moment, just raw mixes but damn if they don't sound just lovely already.

Same line up as the debut, T_C?

What's the deal with your keyboard player, by the way? Noticed he wrote three songs on the first album but isn't listed as a full member. Scandal there? The time-honoured "musical differences"?

Lonerism is fantastic. I found out the Tame Impala guy also drummed and produced for the Pond album that came out earlier in the year, which was also fantastic. Its actually very noticeable once I was told but he's had a good year nonetheless.

Not that I expect anyone here to be remotely interested, I saw Moodmann (AKA kenny dixon jr) last night at distrikt in leeds, absolute legend of detroit techno and house. mixing was out of this world, never seen anyone like it. amazing.

Similar line-up, but no keys at all and a permanent male singer. We got the two guests because we had two regulars in a row who got pregnant and left*.

As for the keyboard player, I'm sorry to say that the story behind sacking him I actually pretty boring. He was a permanent member but got involved with this stupid Scientology clone called Neotech. Yadda yadda yadda, he's a depressing, obstinate, self-righteous, narcissistic **** but now has no money and we just had our fill of it all, thankyaverymuch.

    *we didn't do it

Blonde has a nice lower back, let her know she's been appreciated on CW.

    How wonderfully Fleetwood Mac!

I think it was them who lost a guitarist to a cult, anyway.
