Anyone wanting to hear it, drop me an email at cjt.newtranslation@gmail.com and I'll send an invite to the Dropbox folder.

Think you'll dig this chick's voice, Brumb3rs. The obvious influence on some of it is Erykah Badu but, like I said, it's gone more rootsy than we thought initially.

Got it yesterday. Listened to it all the way through a couple of times. Fairly happy with it.

Recommend getting the extended version if possible, I'd argue the demo tracks are better than the versions included on the actual album - a bit more raw/less produced.

Heard "Fell on Black Days" for the first time in years today, bloody great track.

Chucking it back on now, ITBT.

Who's keen to have a listen?
Funky. Soulful. Chilled. Good. Are they live sessions? Great tight sound going.

Awesome, what we were going for. Any other bands they remind you of?

Not recorded live, just a good room. Bass and drums were recorded together with guide vox/guitars then over-dubbed the rest. This bloke has a nice analogue desk and serious amounts of gear. Never recorded in a place quite like it.

Decent assortment of stoner movies, XBox 36, PS3, etc. for when not in the booth too.

Huge fan, obvz. Liked Tilt & Drift, but (as the old stand-by would have it), obviously I preferred his earlier work.

Scott 3 is is magnum opus, IMHO, but Scott-'Til The Band Comes In all liquid, molten genius.
