Can any of the Killers fans on here (Brumby?) tell me whether Brandon Flowers' solo album is worth a listen.

The Vaccines were the best thing this year, and confirms my tastes haven't changed since 1979, good.

Some classic today. Undoubtedly the best album of the 90s. Playing the cd version atm though I possess cassette and lp versions as well

Seriously great album. Annoying how it's written off by so many people because the Beastie Boys are considered a joke band (which they have become since its release tbf).

Probably about as annoying as people thinking Appetite for Destruction is a hairmetal album

TBF, when they started out, the Beasties were a joke band. Pretty hard to comeback from Fight for your Right... and claim to be serious afterwards.

After that they were always metaphorically wearing a red nose in my books.

So I finally stumbled onto the kranky label's website (whose signings include Tim Hecker, SOTL and its spinoffs)... good god.

I should have done this a year ago.

David Robert Jones, better known to the world as David Bowie, is eligible for his pension tomorrow as he turns 65. Yikes. 50 bizarre Bowie facts & myths.

Shared his birthday with a minor rockabilly singer who some of you may've heard of & who apparently died 25 years ago this year too. Elvis something?

Noely G got a Brit nomination, sweet, pretty surprised tbh. Aside form the Oustanding Contribution award, reckon that's the first one he's got since 97 when Don't Look Back in Anger lost out to Wannabe for Best Single
