They all said "Hallo," and felt awkward and unhappy suddenly, because it was a sort of good-bye they were saying, and they didn't want to think about it.

Yeah, I don't know enough physics to know whether all of what we were being sold was remotely plausible or not.
Yeah, my lack of knowledge was not enough to undermine my enjoyment, but I must confess I was left pretty nonplussed with a great deal of what actually occurred within 3 Body, and ended up skimming over quite a lot of it.

I liked Oathbringer but it's part 3 of 10 and already a massive series.

Has anyone read Ann Leckie's Raven Tower?
I've enjoyed her other work so far, so wondering if this is worth reading.

Read Gone girl recently. After having watched the movie I was hoping for the book to have a different ending. Just so deeply unsatisfying.

Has anyone on here read any of the Warhammer 40K books?

And if so where to start, there seems to be so many, jeepers

Read the first 4 pages of Hamlet in 30 odd minutes today solely because the librarian is cute. Not a bad book.

To be fair my reading speed was hampered by factors I couldn't attribute to the book's content.

Are we talking getting distracted by cute librarians or Hamlet? Agree with both anyway.

I wouldn't have read a single book if I'd discovered Internet forums as a kid/young adult. They're poison for your attention span.

I read *two* books over the entire summer. Pretty shameful effort, tbh. Most of that came when I didn't have internet access.

I've dabbled on occasion. Sandy Mitchell's Ciaphas Cain series are good lighthearted reads.
I've not read the Horus Heresy series but many people enjoy them. There are about 50 million novels though.
Gaunt's Ghosts series by Dan Abnett is interesting too.

Over the past two months, I have read a grand total of two books.

    The Hobbit.

And a 1971 first publication of the the fellowship of the ring...it's pages literally falling apart from its spine. I need help in the area to fuse back the spine. Any chiropractors around?

Yeah ridiculous amount - I was worried because of that. I remember those Forgotten Realms / Dragonlance books they use to churn out.

I have read somewhere thay one must start at Eisenhorn series then jump to Ultramarines and then maybe to the Horus series
