Kindle is ****ing awesome! Definitely worth the investment. Already onto my second book this week. Seems like I'm reading faster than ever.......
But maybe that's just because the last 5 books I read were 1000 page behemoths.![]()

Has anyone read One Day?
WWCC - Loyaulte Mi Lie
“The modern conservative is engaged in one of man’s oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness." - JK Galbraith
"Do you know why I have credibility? Because I don't exude morality." - Bob Hawke
#408. Sixty three not out forever.
Agent to the Stars by John Scalzi was awesome. Great sci-fi/comedy read.
Does anyone have any experiences with the Boxwave Marquee cover for kindle? Seems the best combination of value and tough protection as far as I can find.
Athlai doesn't lie. And he doesn't do sarcasm either, so you know it's true!
'You will look very silly said Mr Salteena with a dry laugh.
Well so will you said Ethel in a snappy tone and she ran out of the room with a very superier run throwing out her legs behind and her arms swinging in rithum.
Well said the owner of the house she has a most idiotick run.'
Finished war and peace. On Hitch 22 now.
Everyone wants to change the world, noone wants to change himself.
-Tolstoy
"The future light cone of the next Indian fast bowler is exactly the same as the past light cone of the previous one"
-My beliefs summarized in words much more eloquent than I could come up with
How the Universe came from nothing
Have you had this validated by a Guinness World Records adjudicator? If so a genuine first.
Currently reading volume 1 of Harry S Trumans Presidential memoirs.... Picked up a first edition copy (1955 i think) for £2.... Don't get that feeling of history with your ****ing Kindle
(I did buy it off Amazon though.....)
"All are lunatics, but he who can analyze his delusions is called a philosopher." - Ambrose Bierce
Langeveldt: I of course blame their parents.. and unchecked immigration!
GingerFurball: He's Austrian, they tend to produce the odd ****ed up individual
Burgey: Be careful dealing with neighbours whose cars don't have wheels but whose houses do.
Uppercut: Maybe I just need better strippers
Gets his mum to give him five star reviews too.![]()
Proudly supporting Central Districts
RIP Craig Walsh
I'm torn, do I start ASOIAF now and get engrossed in it for however long it takes to read the first four books, or should I read the other books I bought first and then get stuck into it?
ATM I'm watching question time and I can't help having a Tolstoy style view about all the panelists and questioners in the audience. Just like Tolstoy treats Kutuzov's adjutants and generals as opinionated glory hunters trying to prove their brilliant war skills, I get the impression that these people on question time are opinionated glory hunters trying to show they can run the country and prove how smart they are. All the while noone seems to really care about doing anything more than putting themselves forward...
Grrr, This doesn't half get my gander up!
