New Ebay Scam surfacing
Watch out
Have listed my playstation 3 on Ebay for three times now.. Every time, I get an address in the states that wins the auction.. Despite stating that I will not post to the states.. I then get a message from Ebay saying the item has been taken off due to being bid on by someone who's account has been hacked by an unauthorised third party.. Then, along comes a personal email from them stating the problem, and that they would still like the auction to go through, but they would like the PS3 to go to a different address.. I then get an email from paypal saying they have deposited money into my account but this cannot be withdrawn by me until I provide them with a tracking number for the shipment Basically, I'm not game for that, and if anyone else is selling high value goods on Ebay at the moment, I'd strongly recommend looking for an alternative method.. The below is just ridiculous.. They could have picked a country other than Nigeria to operate the scam from to be honest.. Like thats going to fool anyone.. Hello Seller, Greeting to you in the Name of the Lord, i want you to know that i have intrest in buying your item which is saw via eBay, and i have just sent payment for the item through paypal,i want you to know that i have just sent payment for the item through paypal Service, and i want to send the item on my behalf to my friend son as a birthday gift in Nigeria.I want the item sent to her Via Royalmail Recorded Delivery, i have also added and additional 120 pounds being the shipping cost for the item, Paypal and ebay have asked me to contact you that the payment as been make and your paypal account will be credited as soon as they see the shipment tracking number and allso i will leave you a good positive feedback as soon the item as been send out and do the same for me,One moment please i want to let you know that you may have receive an e-mail from ebay stating that this bid is unathorized this occur due to ebay have rectify this situationthe fact that i realize someone else was using my ebay account and as a matter of fact i quickly inform ebay and that why my account was accessed by ebay third party and now ebay have rectify this situation and i have collected back my ebay account so ebay sent me an e-mail that we can continue our transaction please sorry for the delay i hope ebay has e-mailed you too and here is the delivery address below Ayodeji Kolawole 1 Fasanya Street Lawanson Surulere lagos 23401 Nigeria Thanks and God Bless You. They have now threatened to suspend my ebay account unless I send the item within 24 hours? Nuts.. Ebay is turning into an absolute shocker.. Are there any good alternatives to this crap?
