I hope those monsters, masquerading as her father and brothers, rot in hell.
Bloody hell. I nearly cried when I read that - actually I did shed a tear or two.
You read all these appalling things which occur through history - war, genocide, mass murder, serial killing, natural disasters etc. Some things affect us differently - you might look at something horrible and be able to be a bit dispassionate about it, like maybe the earhtquake in China, which is horrible but on such a scale as to be like a bad statistic rather than a human drama, whereas some other things, even looking back at them through the years, like (for me) footage of Jonestown or pictures of the Holocaust, affect you in a worse way.
But I have to say, that article made me feel dirty to even be a human being.
It's beyond comprehension.

Not saying I agree with it just that well it's pretty much accepted there. Same as how eating dog we find weird. Not saying it's right or comparing a dog to a human, but it'd be very hard to change that mindset. Way of the world. Silly but so it goes unfortunately.

It's somethign deep rooted so me calling it idiotic or any other thing's not sensible.
'Copperfield,' said Mr. Micawber, 'farewell! Every happiness and prosperity! If, in the progress of revolving years, I could persuade myself that my blighted destiny had been a warning to you, I should feel that I had not occupied another man's place in existence altogether in vain.
