Right, its been a while since a battle on here, and I thought I'd start one with a twist. This will be a battle to find out which is the 'best' decade since World War Two - the criteria for 'best' is up to you.
What this will consist of is a series of battles to find the defining moments of each decade which can then be compared in order to determine which is the 'best' decade.
The defining moments that will be considered are:
1. Best film of the Decade
2. Best music of the Decade (by act - i.e. if the Beatles are nominated in the 1960s category, this would only be for their music in the 1960s)
3. Historic Moment of the Decade (e.g. Kennedy assassination, Man on the Moon)
4. Sporting Achievement of the Decade (e.g. first sub 10 second 100m)
This will give a total of 24 mini-Battles in order to determine the 'Best Decade'
You can nominate 2 for each category, and second 3.

4. Sporting Acheivement of the 50s:
5. Best Film of the 60s:
6. Best Music Act of the 60s:
7. Historic Moment of the 60s:
8. Sporting Acheivement of the 60s:
9. Best Film of the 70s:
10. Best Music Act of the 70s:
11. Historic Moment of the 70s:
12. Sporting Acheivement of the 70s:
13. Best Film of the 80s:
14. Best Music Act of the 80s:
15. Historic Moment of the 80s:
16. Sporting Acheivement of the 80s:
17. Best Film of the 90s:
18. Best Music Act of the 90s:
19. Historic Moment of the 90s:
20. Sporting Acheivement of the 90s:
21. Best Film of the 00s:
22. Best Music Act of the 00s:
23. Historic Moment of the 00s:
24. Sporting Acheivement of the 00s:
Looking for approximately 8 to 16 contenders for each category. Battles to be run in "decade" groups - i.e. 4 mini-battles at a time.
