Matrix Reloaded

This is possibly the most anticipated movie in along time or maybe ever.

I am hanging out to see it but i can help but wonder why the **** heads are putting out both movies this year
nothing for 3 years and then 2 in 6 months.

anticipation.

I went and saw two movies on the weekend and the preview of matrix was small and disappointing to say the least but i suppose that is good cause you dont want them to give away the movie.

anticipation

They built their own highway to film the movie. It must rock...

Sequels more often than not have a nasty habit of not being half as good as the original(especially after the escalated hype), and I hope this doesn't follow suit. Matrix is a tough act to follow, I am crossing my fingers.....

I must be in the minority but I thought the first Matrix was a perfect Hollywood example of a great concept poorly executed, with the biggest HK film rip-offs of all time. Obviously the speccy effects in The Matrix were something special but for me, it didn't make a great film at all.

Not really, great special effects do not a movie make. It was a brilliant directorial performance to bring each individual aspect of the movie together to make it more than the sum of its parts.
IMO.

The best thing about the whole movie, is that its enjoyable, too many people overlook the fact that movies are a form of entertainment meant to be enjoyed, not to be ripped apart.

IMO, the concept was outstanding and the execution was good too. Remember, there's only so much that can be expressed on the big screen. That's why books are generally so much more effective. The human imagination in powerful and limitless.

Got advanced tickets for my younger brother and I to see it this weekend...

As I am a huge fan of "The Matrix" films and having taught the daughter of one of the SFX guys who won the Oscar, I am very much looking forward to seeing it!

If the trailer (which I saw on the weekend) is anything to go by, it looks awesome!! :wow: :wow: :wow:

Can't wait to see it, going in 10 days before my end of 6th Form ball.....watch what promises to be a quality film then go out and have a good time and if that involves alcohol then so be it .

I've got The Matrix on video and it is 100% superb. I've never heard anyone criticise it before so I'm slightly interested to hear why you think its not that good Top_Cat?(would say real name but don't know it). Can't think from your first statement where you're coming from so could you explain.......
