I really hope Bethesda don't rape the Fallout franchise like it looks like they might. It's bad enough that they turned F3 into Oblivion with guns.

And for the record, I much prefer Fallout 3 to Oblivion. I've been playing Oblivion, but don't particularly like it. Mind you, much of this could be remedied if it wasn't so jerky and gets stuck every 5 minutes. Don't particularly like the plot line much either. I can certainly see the similarity with Fallout 3 though, and guaranteed they will flog the horse until it breaks down, dies and starts to decompose.

What not to love about Fallout 3? Never played the originals (tried but didn't work on my computer) but it's far and away the best game I've ever played.

I didn't say Fallout 3 was a bad game (quite enjoyed it, actually), but it's not a Fallout game in my eyes and degrades the franchise.
If it's the best game you've ever played then I feel for you, though. |

![]() It's the best game I've played because of the amazing post-apocalyptic feel it created. It seemed so real and spooky wandering through the endless wasteland that it still stays with me. Then the little things like the olden day songs on the radio etc that just had me completley immersed in its world. |

Because it became a part of another franchise with it's name tacked on. It's not a Fallout game in anything other than environment, it's almost basically an Elder Scrolls game. Whilst I like the Eldar Scrolls games it is irrelvant, because it eliminated what made Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics special in favour of what made a completely different franchise special.

Going to be a sick year for PS3 exclusives tbh. God of War 3, Heavy Rain, FF13 and GT5 all to be released by March/April.

I'm with Smitteh here, and as I'm sure Smitteh could tell you, I agree with him.
Fallout 3 was an abomination of Fallout. Admittedly it's similarity to Oblivion irked me because I thought Oblivion was a terrible game. But I do agree with Smitteh that it's not a Fallout game. Smitteh to confirm that I agree with him. Just, hated Oblivion...
