    Big Parties

Went to a fairly big party on the weekend. Turned out to be a good night. Getting drunk, under aged people getting drunk, people getting on, people watching the cricket, music, and in the morning alot of yakking.

Now that is a big party isnt it how do you know if its big or its just people getting together for a few drinks
You have just read a post from Jason Pike, he is what you wish you were

A big party is 200 people outside in the park & another 100 people inside who were invited. e.g. um last Saturday night.

150 people in marquee, all paid a tenner. Unlimited booze, a BOUNCY castle , 3 different bands and a floor to sleep on!!

Also festivals are wkend parties. 100,000s of people with music and stuff, quality stuff...

They say that if you can remember the 60's, you weren't there and I think the indicator of a massive party is along the lines of a similar philosophy.

Me, I'm no party animal. In fact I generally have the most boring time imaginable at them because I drink VERY rarely. And even then, it's one drink which will last me the night. I CAN drink virtually anyone under the table (high levels of alcohol dehydrogenase I guess) but never developed the taste for alcohol at all.

There's nothing wrong with not drinking at a party, actually I have alot of respect for those kind of people because sometimes people find it hard to go to parties when everyone else is drinking.

I'd think you'd find that alot of people these days especially teenagers don't like the taste of beer that much, they just drink it for the buzz it gives you after they down a few.

wow reuben you rebel you... party hungry party animal...

    laugh out loud

i dont drink much either. i dont drink to get drunk, so i just have a couple. i havent really developed a taste for beer but i'm working on it, i prefer wine.

as for parties... they dont need to be defined as big or small. good/crap would be better...

nothing worse than a party with sh*t music coming out sh*t speakers.
life's a gift thats why they call it the present

Beer I suppose is an acquired taste as is cider.....but least you know you're drinking alcohol when you drink beer, whereas if you get onto the alco-pops then you ain't got a chance . I'm a big fan of beer......don't like spirits too much except gin and lemonade (which is quite subtle).

I have a hell of a lot of respect for people who can resist drinking and detest people who ruin parties by getting tanked up and being sick or assaulting someone.

Never have got into drinking wine but then again I don't go out for meals much anymore. Mixing competitive sport with booze does not go so people who want to become professional sportsmen can't drink lots or regularly.
