    going out to bat song...

This has got to be one of the most frequent topics of discussion amongst cricketers...

What song would you have playing when you went out to bat?

    i never can decide.

Anything longer than 30 seconds would be longer than my innings, so I would decline.

Coldplay is an outstanding band, and Clocks is a great song, but it's not they're best work.

Would have to be "Eye Of A Tiger" - Survivor, as it is a classy motivation song and reminds me of Rocky Balboa over-coming all the odds in the Rocky series. I have to overcome all the odds to make double figures

At Kent vs Warwickshire last season the game was a Day / Night match, live TV coverage etc all the works.... and sitting at the ground me and my mate couldn't blieve how boring the players were about it iam not going over the top if I said 7 - 8 Warwickshire players and about 5 - 6 Kent players used that one song if not more.

The Olympics song that had a line in it like "what have you done today to make you feel proud", the name of it slips from my mind. Grrrr :!(
Also of complete inconsequence as I will never play cricket of a high enough standard to choose a song to be played

Here's a few of the cricketer's choices that I found

Note: These were from midway through last season, so that's why most songs are dated and probley been updated from then

James Tredwell (Kent) - Good Enough by Dodgy

Mark Alleyne (Gloucestershire) - Little Less Conversation by Elvis

M Bulbeck (Somerset) - Rollin by Limp Bizkit

Simon Francis (Somerset) - My Way by Limp Bizkit

Colin Dagnall (Leicestershire) - Gotcha from Theme from Starsky & Hutch - Better suited to a bowler don't you think!

Trevor Ward (Leicestershire) - Survivor / Eye of the Tiger

David Nash (Middlesex) - Simply the Best by Tina Turner

Devon Malcolm (Leicestershire) - Hot Hot Hot by Arrow

Adrian Dale (Glamorgan) - Roll With It by Oasis

Dominic Ostler (Warwickshire) - Hero by Enrique Iglesias
