    Lawyers

Is there any lawyers on CW? If so can you post some of the basic things about it.
The reason is I've decided to go to College and University to study law.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Haha, you've got a bit of a way to go yet though.

That said, am seriously thinking of doing law when I get back, so it'd be interesting to see what others with some experience say.

I'm not a lawyer but I'm studying law so I'll pretend I'm an expert...I'd suggest you make sure you're really interested before you start. Not sure what the courses are like in your part of the world, but over here there's about 80-100 pages of reading every week (and it's all pretty complicated, I try to make sure I read most of it twice to get a proper understanding).

So it's pretty heavy going, and it's massively competitive. But if you're interested in the material it's fine. I wouldn't be doing anything else, absolutely love it.

IIRR, Cameron Burge (Burgey) and howardj are lawyers, but not 100% sure.

But yeah - TBH fella, 12 is not really the age to be making such a decision. Much can and usually does change in 4 years, never mind 6.

I know it's a long time away. But I just want to get a bit head start so to speak. Get some knowledge of law.

nothing wrong in setting yourself such a goal at your age, as long as you can honestly say that it is something YOU really WANT to do. If it is something you want to do, there is no reason why you shouldnt start preparing now

(As long as it doesnt interfere with normal teenage behaviour like glue sniffing, binge drinking, mugging people, vandalism etc ...joke by the way!!!!)

Changed my mind between 17 and 18 tbh, hence the radical change in degree. Been tempted by a law conversion course, but my sister studied law and hated it with a passion, turned her back on the field for many a year after (went to work in probate about 3 years after graduating, hated it even more then, so left)

Is the ability to charge a high fee also in the course?

    I'm kidding of course.

Yeah, or how to slowly reduce money left behind by a dead relative to not much through a multitude of 'service' related charges.
