If you can find an idiot to pay for them, then yes.

Cheers SOC. I think I will leave Serbia for my next trip...i'm thinking of doing the red line on this map(not exactly the line but the general directions)...am in early planning stages so im not sure its even possible..it does look a long way but i'm not averse to train travel. Would do like the blue loop next year or something.

Yeah that looks like a sensible plan given the time frame. Check out the hours on the train so you know what you're up for, you can plan a few of the longer trips at night so you don't pay for accommodation and you don't travel on the train during the day taking up valuable sightseeing time.

Both trips look great. If you can, take a couple of days out of Krakow to see Zakopane, it's only 1.5 hours away and the views are great.

My whole team might be in Dublin in October to train end users of Eircom for a new app we've developed for them. What would the weather be like around then?

Yeah, but when you've only got 3 weeks and big distances to waste 14 hours during the day isn't worth it. You're going to get in at midnight if you leave at 10am. Then you're going to spend more on accommodation when you could have just doubled up on train + accommodation overnight.

I don't disagree at all The best bet is late train and get there between 8-10am.

Yeah, we arrived in Bucharest at 6am on our train. It was strange wandering through the streets with no one around, but nice at the same time. Even the homeless people in the parks hadn't woken up when we got in Kicked the day off with an argument with an ill-tempered woman working at the ticketing at the station, decided to get our tickets for the Alps later and just got on with it.

I'm off tomorrow to Hawaii for a week. It felt like it was ages away, but then with my Dad being in hospital, exams and the like it's come up without me really noticing or thinking about it.

Just thought I should mention that so my absence doesn't lead to rumours of a tragic death trying to save the life of Jeff Goldblum as he suffers a fatal fall for the 47th time while filming in New Zealand.

Off backpacking in Croatia next week, should be awesome. We have a few hostels booked, but apart from that we are deciding everything else when we get there.
