The scariest movie you have ever seen?

    Just about to watch Candyman.
Is it scary? Normally I don't watch horror movies by myself in my apartment but I thought what the hell.

Acutally watched Evil Dead 2 the other night. Not scary at all, in fact a rioteous laugh.

I think the scariest film I ever saw was The Omen. Slasher films don't really freak me out. It's the movies that are more psychological with short, sharp frights, and you can't see the threat and have to use your imagination that scare me the most.

What is the scariest movie you have seen?

Blair Witch Project for mine. That film was actually really well done imo, the hand held cameras are what made it so terrifying.

Watched The Exorcist when I was 7 or something and ****ted it big time, never again.

The Descent was the only other film where I was scared, unless you count this Docu-Drama on The Amityville Horror.

Just finished watching Candyman. Not scary at all, I'm afraid. But, still, I ain't saying his name in front of the mirror five times, that's for sure lol.

Atmosphere is what scares me the most. Those 1970s films scared me, The Omen, for example. These glossly 21st century films just don't do it for me.

Don't Look Now with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie may be the second most scariest film I have ever seen. The climax scared the **** out of me, no kidding. Don't watch it alone.

But the scariest? A Thai movie called 'Shutter'. I would recommend it, but only watch it in a group. You would never go to sleep if you watched it alone. Bloody hell.

Ring is probably one of the dumbest scary movies ever made, i mean the whole plot of a person dying within seven days of watching a ****ing video-tape is so ****ing dire, i am not really the kind who gets scared out of watching movies, but movies like Saw 1,2 were pretty sickening to say the least.

The older you get, the less scary any film becomes.

That's because the truth is far scarier than any fantasy.

I can honestly say that no film truly terrifies me any more.

I highly recommend that everyone watch the original asian versions of these modern-day horror films. It's sad that Hollywood has to borrow Asia's ideas.

Ringu and Ju-on (the grudge) are much more scarier than their Hollywood copies, I reckon.
