Going by the thread title, I've been to:
Worcestershire - nice people, nice pubs. Yorkshire - tight people, nice pubs. Devon - farmer people, nice pubs. Shall I go on?

Crikey Here goes:
South Africa - Lived there for about a year and a half in total.. They say it is a world in one country, and it is absolutely spectacular , especially with the weather and mountains in the Western Cape. Although I lived near Joburg which isnt as nice. I am going back to get a pilots license hopefully when I leave school, although it is hard to get a job there at the moment.. Lovely people, food etc, and Nandos chicken is awesome... but SA does have its fair share of problems at the moment so I am happy in the UK. Their cricket team and rugby teams are going downhill Australia - Went there for a month a few years ago. Reminded me of South Africa but without the crime , although i dont like the accent and their cricket team always wins, along with everything else. People are friendly enough tho...France - Nice enough place, Thought the scenery was fantastic, I have been there several times. Everywhere seems really cultural, but I cant stand the food, its horrible... Dont think the people are very friendly. The driving is terrible Greece - Sunny, but very boring I thought..Where we went it was very rural and laid back. Pleasant enough with nice people who again cant drive Germany - Thought this was very similar to the UK, although we stayed in East germany which still feels very russian. Although everything works and the people are very friendly.. Sooo cold though Finland - very cold also, although really clean and with friendly people. Lappland is fantastic in the winter, If you get the oppertunity, go, although it is very expensive I will write about Tunisia, Turkey, and Belgium when i can be bothered! |

Me -
Australia - I've been to Perth on three occasions as my cousins live there but its been a while since I last went there. I've been there in '89, '92 & '95. I have also been to Surfer Paradise for a ten day trip. It was fun, although it was again quite a while ago, way back in '94. Japan - I went on Rugby tour to Fukaoka, Japan (spl?) in 1997. I was there for ten days. It was fun... Fiji - I went there ten days. It was another fun filled trip in 1998. I haven't been overseas for a while now, but I'm going to Fiji for a Geography field trip at the end of June. It promises to be a lot of fun

Thailand - Bangkok. Very hot in December; river stinks; people very friendly; bad drivers.
Malta - also very warm, nice food, good diving, nice people. Australia - Nice weather; only went to Sydney and Melbourne, Sydney being by far the best in my opinion - nicer people (had a bad experience with 'friends' in Melbourne) and more to do. USA - New York. France - Brittany (who in England hasn't?)

Continuing from my last thread -
Turkey - Well we had a really bad experience, we stayed in a really bad hotel in a slummy part of the resort. It looks like a really wonderful country though and I would love to go their again, but our holiday was rubbish. Belgium - They say nothing ever happens in Belgium, and they are probably right.. However I really liked it, really pleasant place with friendly people, and everything works smoothly... Tunisia - Been here twice...Really Enjoyed it..Hottest place I have been to, quite commercialized and built up, really clean though with nice people. Been travelling around the country a lot when i was there... Ive just worked out I have been to every county in England... Think there are nearly 50.. maybe more |
