This looks of very questionable quality, but I might still watch atleast 2-3 episodes to give it a chance

    Watching the first episode aws.

Henry Cavill not bad as Geralt so far, as long as Geralt from the games is your thing, rather than Geralt from the books.

They also re-use music from the games, which is cool.

Production values also obviously pretty decent.

Dialogue very... Star Wars Prequelsy though.

Cavill is a gamer nerd so it's possible he's only played the games. Didn't realize it was out already. Will give it a shot this weekend.

Just wrapped up first episode. Thought it was fine on the whole. Some enjoyable moments, and nothing to get really upset about. A bit corny in the way that fantasy often tends to be.

Was basically a retelling of the Butcher of Blaviken story from the books, and was a fairly faithful adaptation iirc, though I read it a few years back so can't remember that well.

Biggest downside for me, very dubious dialogue aside, was the casting of Ciri. Do not care for that at all thus far.

Reviews are good but word of mouth seems to be bad. Maybe it gets better as things progress?

Could see that tbh. I'm definitely not opposed to watching more. Don't feel especially inclined to either mind you, but might stick ep 2 on later.

I'll probably end up watching the whole thing over the next week anyway. Love Cavill and loving W3.

2 episodes done and I love it.

I have been told that I have great taste in movies/shows so you all can't go wrong if you take my word for it.

I never played Witcher so I don't know how to take it all.

After the first episode, I think I want to only watch the rest for Cavill oddly enough. It's like if you threw Karl Urban's Dredd into a world full of latte-sipping weirdos.

Finished the Witcher, liked it on the whole. Mostly sticks to the books. I enjoyed it but don't think anyone who's not familiar with the games or books will enjoy it as much.

This Steven Knight Christmas Carol sounds like a disaster. Can people stop giving him money to make things now? Have they not realised he's a talentless hack?

The BBC in general just shits the bed with all of its marquee series recently. His Dark Materials has been lifeless. For some reason they're giving Moffat another series. Think I give up with British TV. All the best British writers have migrated to America now and who could blame them.

Still the greatest Christmas TV thing ever.
