I've been feeling this way about On Becoming a God in Central Florida, but they've called it a "dramedy" so apparently it's more intentional than it seems. I'm absolutely loving it either way.

Ftr Succession seems to be described the same way ("dramedy").

Yeah I'd like to see that but it's not made it to the UK yet.

Dramedy sounds about right, but there's not even that much drama. The stakes always feel pretty low because all of the characters are so totally unsympathetic. It's just great fun watching them constantly plotting to screw each other over.

There seems to have been a quality UK comedy show in the 1990s called "Bruiser" which has flown completely under people's radars. The stuff on YouTube is hilarious.

I've been watching it for the last week or so based on the recommendation in this post, and I'm now entirely up to date (S2 E9). Absolutely loving it.

This was probably after last week's episode, so... L to the OG?

I've actually found a few of them sympathetic at times albeit clearly very flawed and at times nasty individuals.

    God yes.

Where did Jeremy Strong come from? Some actor, and so perfect for what is a really difficult tightrope of a role.

Having watched the first season we weren't sure why he was the one getting pushed for the rewards, but a few episodes into the second season it's like, wow.

Thought the first season of Snowfall was underwhelming, but damn they step it up so much in season 2 and 3. Highly recommended.

Not as good as the original IMO, but still worth watching.

I tend to find the people that like it think it was the greatest thing to ever happen.

My experience was it was about 10 hours too long and mostly a self-indulgent mess, with a few inspired moments.

Episode 8 is admittedly incredible, but you could watch that on its own and that's probably as much as I'd recommend.

Twin Peaks last season is flawed for sure, but as its Lynch and when it clicks its astonishing TV. I think if you like it first time round, you'd find enough to treasure to get through it easily enough.

    This is an interesting comparison.

Season 1 is quality and season 2 until the "reveal" is also top top. However for me it's very hit and miss after that. It finished strongly , but for me season 2 does leave a bad taste in the mouth. Didn't Lynch get distracted with other stuff in season 2?

I'm 4 episodes into season 2 of Mr Inbetween and it's excellent. I was worried it'd run out of steam but it's just as funny as S1.
