In a perfect world they would have wrapped it up in two seasons, but when you look at how popular it is then I can understand the temptation to drag it out sadly.

Its still enjoyable and average Gomorrah is still better than most other tv, but its got a little soapy and silly for my liking.

Maybe try Romanzo now if you are on the Italian Gangster vibe. It does not have a character as gripping as Ciro, but does not overstay its welcome.

On shows that don't hang around and no not a spoiler, is tells its story in one season.....The Terror is great, gun British actors galore. Best season of telly last year. Ian Hurt the stand out.

    nsniks and Grasshopper like this.

Yeah I might give it a go in a while, I feel like if I watched it now I’d just be comparing it to Gomorrah instead of enjoying it for what it is.

Ciro is incredibly compelling, one of the best characters ever.

    Yeah, The Terror is quality.

Just binge watched a 6-part Aussie series called Mr Inbetween which is darkly hilarious.

The missus has been wanting to watch it. I was kind of turned off by the trailer. Or maybe I just can't stand the lead.

Ted Danson is an underrated actor IMO.

I just started watching this last week and powered through s2 after seeing the ending for s1. I think Bell is the only one that constantly makes me laugh. The flashback scene with the toothbrushes might be my favorite. Good show overall, can't wait for Netflix to add s3.

I thought it was a Netflix show, at least that's how they are trying to sell it over here. Seem to be knocking up the episodes pretty much in time with the US, as they've got the first 10 of S3 on here.

Nah I think it's an NBC show. We definitely don't have s3 on Netflix here.

True Detective S3 anyone? Think I'm going to watch both opening episodes 2-3 times. One of the few shows that I feel greatly benefits from repeated watchings

I had been looking forward to this and didn't even realize the season had started.

Season one finale was such a disappointment that I don't think it's worth bothering with. IMO that genre of show becomes unwatchable when you stop trusting the writers to bring the mysteries they're spinning to a vaguely satisfactory conclusion.

I finally got round to Westworld S1, and they did a really good job wrapping it up. As compelling as the series was, I was a bit worried it would spin off into a Lost-style complex of interlocking nonsense.

Season 1 finale was fine. People don't like it because it did something different to what they were expecting, which was partly the point.
