Finished 'Stranger Things' finally, loved it. It gives me a really warm feeling of nostalgia in almost every little detail. I loved the casting of the kids...that's what kids actually look like. Every ****'s a super model these days.

Have just seen the first episode. Liked it, though felt it wasn't all seamless between the portrayal of the kids' world and the adult world.

It's like that the whole time. You sometimes almost forget they're actually in the same universe.

Am I the only one who couldn't stop seeing Shelley Duvall from the Shining whenever Mike reared his mug?

I really enjoyed it despite that, but it if bugs you a lot, it doesn't really get better.

I really got into it despite a bit of effort to get past the schoolyard stuff. Bully characters really bug me.

All the adults are great though. It would have been easy to turn the story into Adults Are Useless but without wishing to spoil they avoid it in some great ways.

Yep, wound up watching all of Breaking Bad again when I finished the second season

Exactly kinda think that was the whole point, different realities, responsibilities and of course perspectives. Like films like goonies, with the elder teens tending to be in the in-between world. Obviously in these Fantasy realities the kids World ends up heavily influencing the adult ones, because the make-believe is real.

Oh and on it reminding you of things, I just gave up and went with the flow, it just invokes so much, from the looks of the sets, participant's, story just impossible to catalogue, even though I'm sure many on the internet have tried.

Finished The Night Off, excellent stuff, pleased that De Niro supposedly said no to it as Turturro was immense. Riz Ahmed again gunned it, and hell of a support cast with Omar/Chalky the obvious stand out.

Yes, I think that it's on purpose. It builds the tension between what the adults are discovering and what the kids are discovering until the inevitable happens and IMO they handle it pretty well for this kind of story in this kind of genre. Well, enough so that I'm hanging for the 2nd season.

Does anyone else think "fear the Walking dead" has improved on the recess, we all know I'm an unapologetic huge fan of the best show on TV, the original, but have never got into the prequel but I certainly haven't hated the last two episodes.
