Liam Cunningham as Davos is great. Same for Stephen Dillane as Stannis. However I would have preferred Mark Strong as Stannis.

The premise sounded interesting, but seems to be poorly executed. The acting was pretty crap, except for Sam Neill, who is always awesome. Pretty forgettable really, nothing that really hooked me in.

Maybe my expectations were too high. I'll give it another go later on, but for the meantime I have better things to watch.

Mark Strong was busy appearing in every single film to be released in the next couple of years.

Fair enough. Five episodes in, I think its made a reasonable start to the series so I'll keep watching for the meantime. Besides, who can argue with Mark Nicholas - apparently its the most gripping drama of the year...

I watched Alcatraz only after reading the reviews in here about how crap it was, and I've been pleasantly surprised. Just about to watch episodes #4 and #5 now. It's not brilliant but it's right up my alley and I've found it interesting enough so far.

Alcatraz has done enough to keep me intrested so far. Whether it stays on my DVR list will depend on how they handle the mystery obviously. I'm fine with getting answers slowly, or even answers that lead to more questions, but I do want the mystery to be addressed each week.

He made a tart in one episode and a curry in the other.

She's really nothing special as far as lead actresses go.

Yes very funny.

Seriously though she's obviously a very attractive woman but that's par for the course as far as leading actresses go and she doesn't exactly stand out among those.

I was just saying she was hot. No need to make a comment about that.
