Find most of the friends characters very irritating tbh. Particularly in the latter series'. Chandler ftw though, clearly the best.

Didn't get it at first. Needed sledger to point them out, tbh

Misconception imo. The humour isn't geeky, just made to sound it.

xkcd is geek humour. BBT is Frasier masquerading as geek humour.

Na disagree the excitement over little geek pop culture references is awesome. Like Sheldon's shirt reflecting different Green Lantern's personas, which in turn reflect his mood. The Time Machine episode and Lord of the Rings Ring episode are also some of my favorite tv episodes of any kind.

AWTA so strongly.

British Coupling is one of my all-time favourites (although the fourth season pales in comparison to the first three IMO). Only seen clips of the American version...have no wish to see more.

Frasier humour hilarious IMO. Martin Crane was the perfect counterbalance to Frasier and Niles

It was hilarious because it had a bit to it, but a lot of the 'high brow' humour was funny even if you didn't know what it was (i.e. you didn't have to know who a famous composer was or what a certain painting looked like) because it sounded funny and it were off set by 'normal' characters who put it into a social context, allowing us to emotionally connect with the jokes.

BBT is the same just with geek stuff, but doesn't seem to be as funny. Also there's been quite a few factual errors but I guess that happens with any show, though you'd think the show being what it's about would try and completely accurate, considering thats the basis for one of it's main characters.

Fraser was awesome, one of the best sitcoms of the 90s.

Yeah definitely. I do find some of the episodes...kind of, frustrating? It's hard to describe but some episodes are based around these incidents that involve some sort of miraculous ill-timing

Frasier is excellent because each episode is based on 'farce', the stuff of the old Greek Tragedies and Shakespeare stuff. Honestly, the amount of times Frasier would completely stuff up and by trying to get himself out of that situation only made things worse. It was great comedy.
