The American 'Smart Bomb' Mystery

Ok, i'll probably get accused of being disrespectful or something, but am i the only one wondering how the Americans haven't accidentally hit any of the following:
Hospitals
Civilian Shelters
Schools
Red Cross Centres
Mosques
Embassies

Its the second night and they haven't hit any so far. Whats going on?

Oh yes, while everyone is running around as air-raid warning after air-raid warning rings out, someone will find the time to note down everything that has been hit...

Rik, you're talking crap. Someone is bound to notice at some point that a hospital or alike has been hit. It would make more sense if you commented that 'it hasn't been reported as yet' or something to that effect but your alternative view is pure crap.

PR - that's why.

Because of the horror stories following the last Gulf War, the Kosovo conflict and the like, they are being really clinical.

A few years further development helps - not just laser-guided or able to 'recognise' the lie of the land - but GPS-guided.

Also, it's hardly started yet

Well these bombs just don't go flying in the air and hit something. They can be aimed and fired at a target. And obviously such buildings are not being targeted.

It's quite simple really, all the techonogly that these things now have is quite incriable, Sat Nav, Laser Guided (both in planes and soliders on the ground) and everything else, I think it was in the last War on Afganistan when someone said they could hit a target a meter square (or simaliar) from like 1,000 miles away... The only reason that these places do get bombed is down to accidents happen it's a fact of life, weather it be a plane lets a bomb go a split second early / late to a mistaken identity of something on the ground.

If I was you wait till operation Shock & Awe beings, When they plan to drop around 3,000 (mixture of) bombs onto Iraq in a 48 hour period of intense attacks from it's fleet of 1000+ jets and air craft carriers, this is the time when things like you talk about could happen.

But with these "surgical" attacks where they are just pin-pointing certain areas which could offer resistance when the big one comes, such as Scud missile launch sites (which Iraq happened to say they had none anymore to the weapons inpectors and the world, yet have launch 4 already today!)
