Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare

Anyone playing this at the moment? Absolutely stunning game, both visually and the gameplay is absolutely incredible. Shame the single player is so short. Never played anything that feels so immersive, with all the lighting and reflections..
I'm Langeveldt if anyone plays online..

Id assume it would, i havent actually got the game. Dont want to spend the $100? and have my machine die when trying to run it. It really needs a decent graphics card though, want to buy one and put it in, but warranty issues with putting it in myself, and cbf getting it done professionally.

I'm running dual core Athlon 4400+ with a 512MB graphics card.. I wouldn't really recommend anything less.. And a 1MB ADSL line is a necessity.. Visually it's even better than Half Life 2, which takes some doing.. And it doesn't run as slowly as that waste of money called Sim City Societies that I've just bought too..

It's better on the Xbox. Best missions are the 15 years ago sniper one and the Gunship imo.

Runs perfectly fine for me, and I'm running a Dual Core Intel 3200+ with a Nvidia 7600GT 256MB graphics card, and an ISDN connection (128kb/s). I play online as *OE*Patty

I'm curious to have a look because of all the good press it's generating, but modern warfare doesn't really appeal to me. I find WW2 much more fascinating - just finished Medal of Honor: Airborne. It wasn't too bad, there were some naff bits but still one of the better MOH titles.

Played it a little bit on the 360. I generally despise FPS games as a rule (besides Perfect Dark) but this wasn't too bad. Heaps short though.

****ing hate developers jibbing us on the single player game on the theory we'll all make our own fun online. Some of us are antisocial, or remarkably for a supposedly first-world country, have crappy broadband, and hence prefer to play a game solo without it merely being a two hour tutorial for the multi-player version...

Get some real life friends imo, negates the broadband point.
